I had quite a mixed experience at this hotel. On one hand, the recent refurbishments made for a beautiful reception and clean, spacious rooms. The dining was exceptional on the first night with one of the best burgers I've had. On the other hand, I found issues with the location as it's quite far from Dublin and the breakfast juices were of poor quality. Overall, it offers good value for money, but I was disappointed in the family amenities, which felt lacking for what I expected.

I recently stayed at Castleknock Hotel and enjoyed a pleasant experience overall. The family-focused amenities really made our trip enjoyable, especially with my young child loving the pool and playground. However, some aspects of the service, particularly during our dining experience, left much to be desired, and the lack of air conditioning in the rooms made for a restless night on warmer days.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, especially for families. It was particularly nice having adequate space for our little one.
Service

While the service was generally good, I encountered some hiccups in the bar on our first night, where we felt a bit forgotten. However, it was resolved swiftly after bringing it to the manager's attention.
Location

The hotel is conveniently located near many attractions, making it easy to explore the area. The access to the local zoo was a highlight for my family.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast offered a great variety, and the food was generally of high quality. However, my experience in the bar was not ideal, as initial service issues affected our dining enjoyment.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities, including the pool and spa, were well-maintained and enjoyable. However, the lack of air conditioning in the rooms is a significant drawback, especially during warm weather.

The location was quite convenient for family outings, but the overall atmosphere felt very busy and chaotic at times.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was pretty basic and didn't offer the amenities I hoped for. It definitely lacked the luxury I expected for the price.
